The original training programme attracted a wide range of professionals (medical and non-medical) in the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia and New Zealand who want to increase their skills in occupational rehabilitation and return to work.
The new UK-based training is attracting Occupational Health and HR professionals, as well as Occupational Therapists and rehabilitation providers. Insurance administrators are also looking to the foundation courses to help them better understand the work situation of the cases they are administering.
Each university sets its fee schedule, which will typically be in the region of £300 per module, depending on the module. Modules can also be offered on site if an employer or provider has sufficient students.
Currently the course is offered by Glasgow Caledonian University, Huddersfield University and by Brunel University in West London. Additional universities are planned for England and Wales.
